was backed into by some "jerk" (I have been using different words to describe this inconsiderate "jerk").

After scouring parking lots I regularly park in, I think I found the culprit. A black, Dodge Durango parked in my townhouse parking lot.

No real damage to this "jerk's" bumper except Pacific Blue scuff marks in the corner.

I know this happens quite often, but my Rav is only 8 months old. This is making me sick because not only will the deductible cost me $500, but I also like to keep my belongings in pristine condition.
What are your thoughts? Do you think the Durango Driver crunched my bumper? And if yes, what do you think I should do about it?

Show the pics to the local police.
It's always better to let them handle such things. What the driver did is hit and run.
sue his ass and tell the police!!! yo have evidence!!!!
Ha! I know I would not want to pay a $500 deductible for something that wasn't even my fault!! That's a bunch of crap! Will it even cost $500 to fix?
How do you approach the person though!? Eek!
oh i would definitely call the police in this situation...evidence looks pretty clear. some idiot did the same thing to my car down at liberty park...though i wasn't able to catch them because they did their damage and left. SOOOOOO frustrating! what is wrong with people? it's one thing to do it and disappear; completely different when you live in the same complex. the nerve! good luck, though! i hope you catch whoever it was...
good detective work, but i would definately call the police and let the sort it out with the other guy.
i like everyone's ideas about getting the police involved. did you get the license plate number?
PS how did the estimate go?
I was going to say leave him a note saying you know it was him (or her...) b/c someone saw them do it and see if they fess up....buuuut the police might be the way to go.
totes police! my dad said it would probs be at least $500 to fix or maybe a little more.
